Portugal Golden Visa Program

The Portugal Golden Visa (Residence Permit for Investment, or ARI) is an immigration policy launched by the Portuguese government in 2012. It's a five-year investment immigration program primarily aimed at non-EU nationals.
After holding the Portuguese Golden Visa for five years, investors can apply for Portuguese citizenship or permanent residency. The time required to obtain citizenship is calculated from the date of application submission, allowing investors to meet the five-year residency requirement even while their application is being processed.
