Canada's "Spouse Immigration" allows Canadian citizens, permanent residents and eligible Indians to sponsor their spouses/partners to live in Canada. This application accepts registered marriage spouses, common-law partners or de facto partners, including same-sex or opposite-sex partners, who can apply in Canada or overseas.
* 18 years or above
* No record of being refused a visa by Canada
* Marriage recognized by Canadian law, common-law partner or conjugal partner
* The spouse must be the spouse/partner of a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or eligible Indian
* Guarantor (spouse):
- Canadian spouse/partner as sponsor
- Except for those with disabilities, they are not allowed to receive social assistance and must bear the applicant's living expenses
- If you have sponsored your previous spouse/partner, you can only sponsor your current spouse/partner 3 years after the other person becomes a permanent resident.
- Have not immigrated to Canada as a spouse/partner in the past 5 years
